Bush-hammered granite features a rugged, textured surface achieved through
a mechanical hammering process. This coarse finish not only enhances the
visual appeal of the stone but also significantly improves its slip resistance,
making it a popular choice for flooring in outdoor and high-traffic areas.
While
similar to flamed granite in terms of safety, the bush-hammered texture may
slightly increase the stone’s porosity, which can lead to higher water absorption.
As a result, the surface may be more susceptible to oil-based stains, moisture
retention, and efflorescence over time if not properly sealed and maintained.
